New Delhi: Suzuki has made waves in the Indian motorbike market by launching the much-awaited GSX-8R sportbike, priced at ₹9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The GSX-8R, a middleweight sportbike, comes as a strong competitor to the Triumph Daytona 660, undercutting its price by nearly ₹50,000. The launch marks Suzuki’s continued commitment to providing premium, performance-focused bikes at competitive prices for the Indian market.

Suzuki GSX-8R: Engine

The Suzuki GSX-8R is powered by a 776cc parallel-twin engine, which also powers the recently launched V-Strom 800DE. This engine produces 83 bhp and 78 Nm of torque, promising a torquey yet smooth riding experience. While it shares the engine and frame with its ADV sibling, the GSX-8R is expected to be more agile and responsive, given its lighter weight and sportier design. This should make it an excellent choice for both spirited rides and daily commuting.
