House elects more committee chairpersons

The House of Representatives elected additional chairpersons for various committees.

During Wednesday’s session, House Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos moved to elect Aklan Rep. Florencio Miraflores as chairperson of the House Committee on Local Government. No one objected to the motion.

Davao Oriental Rep. Cheeno Miguel Almario was elected chairperson of the Committee on Social Services, while Rizal Rep. Arturo Garcia Jr. was elected chairperson of the House Special Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects.

Elected chairperson of the Special Committee on Globalization and WTO was Bohol Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor while Pangasinan Rep. Mark Cojuangco was elected Special Committee on Nuclear Energy.

Surigao del Sur Rep. Alexander Pimentel was elected chairperson of the Special Committee on Strategic Intelligence.

Agusan del Sur Rep. Alfelito Bascug was elected chairperson of the Special Committee on Persons with Disabilities, while Bataan Rep. Maria Angela Garcia was elected chairperson of the Special Committee on West Philippine Sea.
