‘Slash Squatch’ – Watch New Trailer for the ‘Ultimate Killer Bigfoot Movie’
An axe wielding Sasquatch ravages a small mountain town in director Aaron Bratcher’s Slash Squatch, which is advertising itself as “the ultimate killer Bigfoot movie.”
Ass Backwards Films has released a new teaser trailer for Slash Squatch this week, which is said to be inspired by creature features like Tremors and the ’80s version of The Blob.
Additionally, the project is looking to raise $15,000 in finishing funds over on Indiegogo this month, with the filmmaking team noting that the movie is 80% finished at this time.
They explain, “This September we will film the remaining Pacific Northwest (Oregon/Washington) exterior scenes around the mountains and waterfalls that will bring even more production value and give the film an epic sense of adventure. Our team has been diligent in every aspect of production to ensure that this is more than your average indie horror film.”
“This isn’t another disposable cheap horror flick that gets dumped and eventually lost on streaming,” their statement continues. “This film was engineered to be an edge of your seat rollercoaster ride, and specifically designed for the theatrical experience.”
Head over to Indiegogo to learn more and pitch in now through the end of August.
Toni Hudson, Lynn Lowry, Bill Oberst Jr., and Autumn Ivy star in Slash Squatch, which will be brought to the screen using “stunning old-school practical effects.”
Aaron Bratcher and Cole Erickson wrote the screenplay.
