ASUS launches Vivobook S16 AI laptop in India with Snapdragon X processor, 32-hour battery
New Delhi: ASUS has introduced its new Vivobook S16 (S3607QA) in India, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X processor and a 45 TOPS NPU. The laptop is part of the Copilot+ PC lineup, offering AI-powered features out of the box. It is available in Matte Grey and Cool Silver, with prices starting at ₹79,990.
The launch also includes the Chromebook CX15 (CX1505KA), starting at ₹19,990, which focuses on lightweight design and ChromeOS productivity. Both devices are now available through Flipkart and the ASUS e-shop.
AI features and performance focus
The Vivobook S16 is designed to handle AI-powered applications without relying on cloud processing. With Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon X platform, users get Copilot+ features like Live Captions, Windows Studio Effects, and ASUS’s own AI tools such as StoryCube. The laptop is built for multitasking, content creation, and office work, while aiming for long battery life and portability.

Battery life and portability
With a 70WHr battery, the company claims up to 32 hours of unplugged usage. The device weighs about 1.74 kg and is 1.59 cm thin, featuring an all-metal body. Cooling is handled by ASUS IceCool Thermal Technology, with adjustable fan profiles through the MyASUS app.
Display and visuals
The 16-inch Lumina OLED panel has a resolution of 1920×1200, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and 0.2ms response time. The display supports high contrast and deep blacks, aimed at providing an immersive experience for video streaming, editing, and everyday use.
Connectivity and security
The Vivobook S16 comes with two USB4 Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and an audio jack. It features a full-HD IR camera with Windows Hello login support and a physical privacy shutter. Microsoft Office 2024 (lifetime) and 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage for one year are pre-installed. Hardware-level security is supported through Microsoft Pluton and Passkeys.
