The Music on the Wharf series will bring a group covering the tunes of an iconic Canadian band to the Port Haney Wharf this Monday, Aug. 11.
The band Gift Shop is a tribute to The Tragically Hip, and has captivated audiences with their faithful recreation of The Hip’s signature guitar tones, vocal harmonies, and high-energy live performances. Their attention to detail and ability to pack dance floors have made them a fan favourite for those who cherish The Tragically Hip’s music.
Their show starts at 7 p.m.
This concert series has been running every year since 1997, organized by the Maple Ridge Historical Society, in a location that is unique and historic.
The concerts are free to the public, but donations are welcomed to help offset the cost.
The last concert in the series will feature Janelle Reid on Aug. 25.
