Three Music Industry Veterans Join MusicSA Board

MusicSA welcomes three music industry experts to its board.

Announced today, August 11th, Isobella “Bel” Caruso leads the triumvirate joining the peak body.

Caruso is the founder of creative agency RebelYell, an award-winning music and events publicist, and boasts two decades’ experience across festivals, artist campaigns, venue promotion and national tours.
“Bel brings critical industry insight and advocacy to the MusicSA board,” reads a statement.

Also on board is Kate Russo, General Manager of Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium. Russo brings to the job over 16 years of venue and event experience and has long been a passionate advocate for South Australia, actively building, promoting and celebrating the capital’s live music and entertainment scene, a statement reads.

Meanwhile, Leko Novakovic, Managing Director of leading event hire and production company, Novatech, joins the board.

With over 28 years’ experience in the live production industry, Novakovic “is a driving force behind some of Australia’s most memorable event and live music experiences,” the statement continues.

The incoming professionals “will undoubtedly extend the board’s knowledge and contacts at an incredibly important time in the continued growth of our organisation,” comments chair of the MusicSA board, John Glenn.

“As we look ahead to delivering the 2026 Regional and Remote Music Summit in Mount Gambier, a new Strategic Plan and all of our many other events and industry development support to our vibrant industry, the future looks very bright indeed.”

Caruso, Russo and Novakovic join existing board members Glenn, Tim Haslam (treasurer), Angus Crawford (secretary) and Emily Drewniak (board director).

MusicSA is the trade association and advocate for South Australia’s contemporary music industry, a not-for-profit that promotes, supports and develop the local industry.
