Going Global Festival 2025 Timetable + Music Summit New Speakers Announced
Connecting Aotearoa musical practitioners, industry professionals at all levels and keen beans with a world of expert knowhow, the full lineup of special guests has been revealed for Going Global Music Summit 2025, along with crucial timetable details for the accompanying Going Global Festival 2025. New Artist Keynote speakers for the Summit include award winning music journalist and historian Gareth Shute, who chatted with us just last week about his illuminating new book Songs From the Shaky Isles (A Short History of Popular Music in New Zealand), Taite Music Prize winner Princess Chelsea, Ara Adams-Tamatea of Whakatāne superstar collective L.A.B. and streaming hitmaker / sigilkore pioneer 9lives.
Running in tandem to the Summit is Going Global 2025 Festival, a triple stage showcase of Aotearoa’s brightest stars and future icons over two nights at Tāmaki Makaurau’s Whammy! and Double Whammy! Bargain-priced two night festival passes are available or you can hone in on your personal favourite evening, but better not dawdle either way as the festival traditionally sells out. Check out the newly updated info for Going Global Music Summit 2025 and the all-star Going Global 2025 Festival at the tail end of August — brought to you by NZ Music Commission and Independent Music NZ…
“The interest shown from the wider world in Aotearoa New Zealand artists has never been higher. We are really looking forward to all the connections and discussions to be had over these coming days and beyond.” – Dylan Pellett, General Manager of Independent Music New Zealand (IMNZ)
