The Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in Avaza, Turkmenistan, was actively covered by numerous media outlets. Let us remind that over 160 media representatives from about 40 countries came to Turkmenistan to widely cover the Conference and events held within its framework.
The progress and results of the Conference were reported on by such publications as the National News Agency of Uzbekistan UZA, the international news agency “Kazinform”, the news agency of China “Xinhua”, the State News Agency of Azerbaijan Azertag, the Turkish news agency Anadolu, EU Reporter, the TV channels “Mir” and “AzVision.az” and others.
Foreign media noted that the choice of Avaza as the venue for the Conference confirms Turkmenistan’s desire to become a center for international cooperation and dialogue that supports the development of landlocked states.
The conference contributed to strengthening the international authority of Turkmenistan as a country capable of hosting large-scale international events and actively participating in solving global problems.
The adoption of the Avaza Action Programme and the Avaza Political Declaration set a clear development plan for the next ten years. The pages of the world media emphasize that the successful implementation of these initiatives largely depends on international solidarity, reform of the financial architecture, technology exchange and active involvement of the private sector in this activity.
Turkmenistan, as a peacekeeping neutral country, is significantly strengthening its position in the international arena, making a significant contribution to the sustainable development of landlocked states, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
