2026 Kawasaki KLX 230 Launched In India At Nearly Rs 1.3 Lakh Less Than Before; Complete Details
Kawasaki has launched the 2026 model year (MY26) KLX 230 in India, with prices starting at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Unlike the MY25 version, which was imported, the new model is manufactured in India. This localisation has resulted in a substantial price drop compared to the outgoing MY25 model, which was priced at Rs 3.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the MY26 KLX 230 are now open with a token amount of Rs 5,000. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first week of October 2025.
The 2026 KLX 230 is powered by a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 19 hp and 19 Nm of peak torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Built on a steel perimeter frame, the bike features a 37 mm telescopic front fork and Uni-Trak rear suspension, offering 220 mm of wheel travel at the front and 223 mm at the rear.
In terms of dimensions, the KLX 230 has a seat height of 880 mm and weighs 139 kg. Braking duties are handled by a 290 mm petal-type front disc and a 230 mm rear disc. The bike is also equipped with switchable ABS for better control in off-road conditions.
On the features front, the KLX 230 comes with an LCD instrument cluster and offers smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app. An electric start system is standard.
