Onix Renewable Bags SECI’s 50,000 TPA Green Ammonia Project at INR 52.50/kg – Asia Pacific

Onix Renewable secures SECI’s latest Green Ammonia auction, supplying 50,000 TPA at INR 52.50 per kg, reinforcing India’s green ammonia benchmark and advancing the nation’s clean energy transition.

Onix Renewable Ltd. has emerged as the winning bidder in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) latest Green Ammonia auction. The company will supply 50,000 TPA of green ammonia to GNFC, Bharuch, at a discovered price of INR 52.50 per kg, consolidating India’s benchmark for green ammonia pricing.

The project forms part of SECI’s SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I), aimed at promoting sustainable green fuel adoption. SECI highlighted the transparent bidding process and the stable price discovery across recent auctions, reinforcing confidence in the emerging green ammonia market.

SECI noted, “Over recent auctions, price discoveries have remained in a close range, steadily reinforcing a sustainable benchmark for the Indian Green Ammonia market, moving from INR 55.75 per kilogram to INR 51.80, INR 52.25, INR 53.05, and now INR 52.50 per kilogram. We extend our sincere thanks to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for their unwavering support and to the Department of Fertilisers and GNFC for their trust in SECI and the Green Ammonia vision. This achievement reinforces India’s clean energy journey, making Green Ammonia a practical and competitive choice for industry.”
