Deliveries of the Ola S1 Pro Sport will reportedly commence early next year after its market launch sometime later this year.
Ola Electric may often find itself on the headlines for wrong reasons, but the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer should be credited for introducing some groundbreaking innovations in the field of automobiles. And it seems there are some more innovations lined up in the near future.
According to a report by RushLane, Ola Electric is working on a more advanced version of its flagship electric scooter called S1 Pro Sport. This new electric scooter will supposedly set the benchmark for technology in the two-wheeler market and not just electric scooters. Safe to say it will be the most feature-packed two-wheeler in the Indian market.

The report reveals that the upcoming S1 Pro Sport will be visually distinct from the rest of the S1 lineup featuring street aesthetic fairing and vertical racing stripes, accompanied by split grab rails at the rear. Other distinctive highlights seen in the leaked images include refreshed rear-view mirrors, new seat cover, swing arm cover, floormat and body decals. However, more than aesthetics it is the functionality which is bound to impress potential customers.

Ola S1 Pro Sport: Class-leading features in making
The S1 Pro Sport will be the first two-wheeler in India to come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Ola has been working on an ADAS tech for a long time which is very different from the ones seen in cars. The ADAS in the upcoming Ola S1 Pro Sport is set to focus more on enhancing the ride experience in urban environments. The system will enable users to get real-time alerts to ensure safe urban rides.
Another interesting feature addition is a front dashcam that can serve multiple purposes, but more importantly it will help the rider in case of untoward road rage which has unfortunately become a common occurrence across the country. The company is also expected to advertise this feature keeping the vloggers in mind. Other notable features expected in the S1 Pro Sport are a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, brake-by-wire with ABS, traction control, ride modes, motor sounds and adaptive boost.

Ola S1 Pro Sport: New electric motor
Not just looks and features, but Ola is also likely to make some crucial changes in the powertrain as well. Ola will reportedly employ a new locally manufactured 13kW (17.43 bhp) Ferrite electric motor. This will reduce dependence on imported rare earth materials which are currently short in supply. Later, this battery pack will eventually be used for other Ola models as well.
This electric motor is most likely to be paired with a 5.2 kWh battery pack that claims a certified IDC range of 320 km. As for performance, the S1 Pro Sport can clock a top speed of 141 kmph and can sprint from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds. Ola has also reportedly made some improvements in the in-house MoveOS and battery systems.
