Suriya, RJ Balaji’s film to start rolling soon; AR Rahman joins the team?
Suriya is busy with some promising projects in the pipeline. After wrapping up Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the popular actor is set to team up with actor-director RJ Balaji, for his next outing. The project, which marks the National Award winner’s 45th outing in Tamil cinema, has been tentatively titled Suriya 45. As per the recent updates, Suriya and RJ Balaji’s ambitious project is all set to start rolling in November 2024.

According to recent updates, Suriya is all set to join the sets of his upcoming 45th film, directed by RJ Balaji, after a short break. The talented actor, who recently wrapped up Karthik Subbaraj’s Suriya 44, is planning to take a short break from films to spend some quality time with his family. Later in November, the actor will kickstart the shooting of Suriya 45, which marks his first onscreen collaboration with RJ Balaji. The movie is touted to be an action thriller, with a touch of humour.

If the reports are to be believed, the multi-faceted talent initially narrated the story idea to Thalapathy Vijay, for the star’s 69th outing in Tamil cinema. However, Vijay turned down the offer due to creative differences, and RJ Balaji approached Suriya, for the role. The National Award-winner, who is highly impressed with the narration, reportedly said yes to the project almost immediately. However, the makers will officially announce the project only after the rest of the cast and crew and the launch date is locked.

The grapevine also suggests that AR Rahman, the Academy Award-winning musician has been roped in, to compose the songs and original score for Suriya 45. As per the reports, director RJ Balaji had a detailed story narration with the celebrated musician, recently. AR Rahman, who is highly impressed with the narration, reportedly agreed to be a part of the project, without second thoughts.
