Bahrain Strengthens Global Humanitarian Role, Says Minister of Social Development | THE DAILY TRIBUNE

Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, continues to expand its regional and international presence through a strong humanitarian and developmental agenda, said H.E. Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development.

Speaking on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, the Minister highlighted the significant role of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, headed by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in delivering aid and development initiatives both inside Bahrain and abroad. These efforts, he noted, reflect Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable humanitarian work and enhance the Kingdom’s reputation on the international stage.

Minister Al Alawi added that the Ministry of Social Development is actively promoting humanitarian work by empowering civil society organizations and supporting them in implementing projects that reach those in need, whether through direct assistance or sustainable development programs.

He also emphasized the Ministry’s comprehensive strategy, which focuses on community partnerships, innovation in humanitarian initiatives, efficient use of resources, and continuous improvement of legal and regulatory frameworks. These measures aim to ensure transparency, good governance, and alignment with global best practices while maximizing positive social impact.
