‘Land in 10 minutes’: Delhi-NCR people can now order land on Zepto just like groceries – Industry News

Quick commerce companies have been constantly pushing the boundaries of what they can deliver beyond groceries and household essentials. From Blinkit’s 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram to Zepto offering car test drives, the ideas keep getting bolder. Zepto has taken things to an entirely new level – it has started selling plots, that too in 10 minutes. Yes, you read that right.

Zepto has partnered with The House of Abhinandan Lodha to offer land plots in 10 minutes – something the real estate company announced in its recent campaign. 

The ads were released around Janamasthami with the tagline: “This Janmashtami, reimagine land investments, with India’s largest branded land developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha and Zepto.”

It opens to show a man doing arti, and then people celebrating the festival. It then goes on to show acres of plots, and as the ad nears the end, it shows a delivery partner carrying the papers of those plots to deliver to their rightful owners. 

Land in 10 minutes

If you wish to buy land in 10 minutes and live in Delhi-NCR, simply go to the Zepto app and type “land”. You will be redirected to a page that has a huge picture of Amitabh Bachchan with folded hands, with a phrase: “Zameen se bante hain aap.” 

According to the data available on Zepto, the real estate company has already sold 11.5 mn sq ft of land, has 6,000 land owners worldwide. 30 mn sq ft of land is under development, and the company offers land in 14 locations. 

Through Zepto, you can also buy land in Vrindavan starting at Rs 1.39 cr for 1,506 sq ft. The land that The House of Abhinandan Lodha and Zepto are offering is located 2.5 hours away from Delhi and 1.5 hours away from the upcoming Jewar Airport. 

You can also enquire about land in Neral, Maharashtra. The lands there start at Rs 39.99 lakh for 1,248 sq ft.

Earlier, in February, the company collaborated with Skoda to offer test drives in India. Aadit Palicha, the company’s co-founder and CEO, shared the update in a LinkedIn post, while also dismissing reports of selling cars in 10 minutes. 

“No. We’re Not Delivering Cars in 10 Minutes… yet,” wrote Palicha, adding, “We’ve seen the headlines – Skoda & Zepto delivering cars in 10 minutes?! We love the energy, but let’s clear things up: you won’t be ordering a Škoda Kylaq from the Zepto app (as tempting as that sounds).”

He then shared what Zepto users could get in 10 minutes instead – a test drive of the Škoda Kylaq. He then said, “But… who knows what the future holds?”

Zepto is preparing for a stock market listing (IPO) in India. For this, it has officially moved its registration (domicile) to India and rebranded itself. 

It received Rs 400 crore from Motilal Oswal Financial Services as part of this effort. This is just a portion of a larger deal worth Rs 1,000 crore, which valued Zepto at about $5.4 billion (Rs 47,298 crore).
