Statcon Energiaa, Su-vastika Join Forces To Deploy Lithium BESS in India and Abroad

In a bid to accelerate India’s clean energy transition, Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika, two of the country’s respected names in Battery Energy Storage Systems, power electronics, and renewable energy, entered into a formal collaboration. The company said in a press release, “This strategic marketing alignment will focus on promoting and deploying lithium-based Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across domestic channels and select international countries for export.”

Speaking on the partnership, Kunwer Sachdev, founder of Su-kam, popularly known as the ‘Inverter Man of India’, remarked, “My vision is clear – to eliminate the need for DG sets in both residential and commercial sectors by empowering India with reliable, efficient BESS solutions.”

Manoj Pande, Founder and Managing Director of Statcon Energiaa, expressed optimism about the collaboration. He said, “With the aspirations of a rising New India, we firmly believe that lithium batteries are the future. This strategic partnership empowers us and our channel partners with a complete and future-ready range of lithium-based solar hybrid solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of our diverse customer base.”

The company stated, “India’s BESS market is witnessing a rapid transformation, with valuations expected to grow from USD 7.8 billion in 2024 to over USD 32 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of nearly 27%, driven by the urgent push to decarbonize backup power and increasing adoption of lithium-ion technologies.”

Key Areas of Collaboration

Identifying key areas of co-operation, Statcon Energiaa stated, “This collaboration combines Statcon Energiaa’s expertise in BESS and grid feed and hybrid solar inverters with Su-vastika’s innovative approach, having technology patents in lithium batteries, BESS, lift inverters, etc., paving the way for a greener, smarter energy future. By pooling technological expertise and sharing key IPs and service and R&D strength, the collaboration aims to democratize access to advanced energy solutions—at a time when the industry is witnessing a clear shift away from lead-acid battery technologies.”

Manoj Pande, founder of Statcon Energiaa, and Kunwer Sachdev, who created the Su-kam brand from scratch, are two veterans of the inverter and solar power industry, who will stir the industry equation of the industry backed by the investment of Rotomag. The company said it sees this alignment as a way to enable both companies to synergize and aim to capture a bigger market share in India and international markets.

Khushboo Sachdeva (co-founder of Su-vastika Systems Private Limited) added, “This is the era of collaboration, not competition, for Indian power electronics companies.”

This unified vision is backed by investment from Rotomag Enertec Ltd, which now holds a majority stake in both Statcon Energiaa and Su-vastika. The company added, “Umesh Balani, Managing Director of Rotomag, envisions consolidating the solar industry in generation and storage technologies, as he already has the major shareholding in the solar water pumping systems. With this commitment, Rotomag is enabling accelerated growth and international expansion for both companies in the clean energy sector.”
