Nothing appoints Hemant Kundavaram as CFO for India operations

London-based consumer technology company Nothing has appointed Hemant Kundavaram as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its India business, the company announced on Monday.

Kundavaram, a Chartered Accountant with over two decades of experience in finance and accounting, will lead the company’s financial strategy in one of its most important growth markets. His expertise spans fundraising, investor relations, IPOs, and capital market operations.

“Nothing’s journey so far has been truly remarkable. I’m excited to be part of this next chapter as the company accelerates its growth and deepens its presence in India,” Kundavaram said in a statement.

Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and India President of Nothing, added: “India is at the core of Nothing’s global vision, and we’re entering an exciting new phase of growth here. Hemant’s proven expertise in financial operations and capital strategy will be instrumental as we scale rapidly and deepen our presence in India.”

Before joining Nothing, Kundavaram worked with Ford India, IBM, Thomson Reuters, Rockwell Collins, and later moved to promoter-led startups. Most recently, he served as CFO at PMI Electromobility.

The appointment comes as Nothing continues to expand in India, which has become a critical market for the company. According to Counterpoint Research, Nothing reported a 146% year-on-year growth in Q2 2025, making it the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India for six consecutive quarters.
