VinFast VF7, VF6 India Variants Explained – A Closer Look At The Upcoming EV Duo | Features

VinFast VF7, VF6 India Variants Explained

VinFast is ready to roll into India’s EV scene, and the spotlight is on its upcoming VF7 and VF6 SUVs. We have a fair idea of what the India-spec versions will look like, and they are shaping up to be interesting contenders. The VF7 is aimed at those who want a bigger, more athletic electric SUV, while the VF6 should appeal to buyers looking for something compact yet premium. Both pack VinFast’s bold styling and tech-rich interiors, along with range figures designed to stay competitive in today’s crowded EV market.

Pre-orders for the VinFast VF6 and VF7 are open, and you can lock in a booking on the company’s official site for Rs 21,000. Recently, the EV manufacturer shared details on the variant lineup, colour palettes, and some of the standout features that will be offered in the India-spec models. Think of this as your sneak peek into the brand’s two-pronged India debut.

Vinfast VF7

The VF7 will headline the lineup here, coming in three trims: Earth, Wind, and Sky. That is a step away from the international model’s simpler Eco and Plus setup, suggesting VinFast wants to cater to everyone from cost-conscious EV buyers to those who like their cars fully loaded. Six paint options will be on offer such as Zenith Grey, Desat Silver, Urban Mint, Crimson Red, Jet Black, and Infinity Blanc.

The interior feels like a modern lounge with wheels. There is a floating 15-inch infotainment display, a head-up display for the driver, and proper physical buttons for drive modes—because not everything needs to be buried in a touchscreen. The dual-tone Mocha Brown and black interior ups the premium vibe, while features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree cameras, wireless charging, and a full ADAS suite with 8 airbags tick the tech and safety boxes.

Vinfast VF6

The VF6 does not skimp on style—it gets the same palette of exterior colours as the VF7, so you can still pick from those bold or understated shades.

Step inside, though, and the trims have their own personalities. The Earth variant sticks to an all-black cabin for a clean, uniform look, while the Wind trim livens things up with a two-tone mix of mocha brown and black. It is a subtle difference, but one that can completely change the vibe depending on whether you prefer a sporty, no-nonsense interior or something with a warmer, more premium feel.

Under the hood, the VF7 will draw power from a 70.8kWh battery, offered in both single- and dual-motor configurations. The smaller VF6 will use a 59.6kWh pack. Both models will be assembled at VinFast’s upcoming manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
