It’s time once again to get the voting started for high school sports.
The Journal’s Preseason Football Player of the Year is up for grabs right now. It’s our first poll back since the end of the spring sports season, and we’re excited to get things kicked off here with school starting as well.
We should have some solid football teams once again this fall, and the Journal will do its best to keep the student-athletes covered with more than just game stories this year.
There’s going to be a weekly schedule with football that will see features, athlete of the week polls, previous week’s top performances and more. Photo galleries from games will also once again be featured.
For the Preseason Player of the Year, two student athletes were selected from each team in the coverage area.
The rules remain the same. You can vote as many times as you’d like, and you can vote for more than one athlete at a time, which is a unique feature. By selecting more than one athlete, you don’t necessarily have to choose between members of the same school, which I know some of you will like.
The polls for the Player of the Year are open until Wednesday at noon. Happy voting!
