Sophia O’Dea had a hat trick for Altoona in a loss to North Allegheny on Saturday at Mansion Park.
MARTINSBURG — A hat trick from Owen Brown put Central’s boys soccer team ahead by two goals, but Cambria Heights got late tallies from Ethan Gilbey and Nito Kutruff to force a 3-3 tie in both teams’ opening contest on Saturday.
Tucker Link also scored for the Highlanders, and Jacob Heuston assisted on two goals for the Scarlet Dragons.

Altoona downed
DuBOIS — DuBois topped Altoona, 4-2, in the boys soccer championship game of the tournament at DuBois Middle School on Saturday.
The Mountain Lions got a goal from Abubaker Hussein that tied the contest in the first half, but DuBois scored three straight goals to take control before Bilal Eltayeb scored the final goal of the game to set the final.

Despite the loss, Sophia O’Dea had a hat trick for the Lady Lions. A full box score was not reported to the Mirror.
