CEAT launches SecuraDrive CIRCL, India’s first passenger car tyre made with up to 90% sustainable materials.CEAT on Monday announced the launch of SecuraDrive CIRCL, India’s first road-ready passenger car tyre made with up to 90 per cent sustainable materials.

It has been developed at CEAT’s R&D facility in Halol, Gujarat and the tyre will be available in two variants – one with 50 per cent bio-based content and another with 90 per cent. For the 50 per cent variant, prices start at ₹8,999 while for the 90 per cent variant, they start at ₹12,999. The sales for the tyre will begin in September through the premium retail network and authorised dealerships, the company said in a statement.

“By achieving 90 per cent sustainable content in a fully road-ready tyre, CEAT is redefining performance and eco-innovation, while reinforcing our journey to become a premium, future-ready brand,” said Arnab Banerjee, Managing Director & CEO of CEAT.

The company highlighted three patented innovations in the CIRCL: a unified biopolymer inner liner that reduces emissions in manufacturing, a glycerol-based accelerator replacing petroleum-derived chemicals, and an anti-static silica conductive solution that eliminates the need for carbon black while ensuring safety.
