Following the success of MongoDB Day in Dubai earlier this year and the announcement of its strategic partnership with MoroHub, MongoDB is expanding its presence across the Middle East and Africa.

The company has reported steady growth in customer adoption and regional hiring, underlining its commitment to supporting digital transformation across both public and private sectors.

Since February, MongoDB has added several key roles to strengthen its regional operations, including a Solutions Architect, Customer Success Manager and Partner Specialist based in Dubai.

It has also appointed a new Vice President of Professional Services for EMEA to enhance customer support capabilities.

Recruitment is under way in Riyadh, with further hiring planned across Central, East and West Africa to meet increasing demand.

“We’ve secured exceptional talent across the region to support this next phase of growth,”

said Anders Irlander Fabry, Regional Director at MongoDB.

“Whether it’s a digital-native start-up or a national public service platform, organisations are looking for scalable, flexible data solutions. Our momentum reflects that MongoDB is fast becoming the backbone of modern application development in the Middle East and Africa.”

The company reported triple-digit private sector growth in the first quarter and expects this trend to continue, driven by strong demand in financial services, telecommunications, retail and government.

MongoDB also noted rising interest from start-ups and digital-first enterprises seeking greater agility and developer-focused design.

Recent customer engagements include a national education aid platform serving thousands of students, a major energy organisation in Turkey, a leading healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia, several public sector entities in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, and a smart city infrastructure initiative aimed at public service delivery.

This expansion builds on MongoDB’s partnership with MoroHub, announced earlier this year, which supports smart government and cloud-first programmes in the UAE.

The collaboration forms part of the company’s broader regional strategy, aligning with national initiatives to strengthen data sovereignty, innovation and digital capability.

“We’re seeing a new era of growth and investment in the region, and MongoDB is proud to be a key enabler of that transformation,”

Irlander Fabry added.

“This is not just about our products; it’s about partnership, people, and building long-term digital ecosystems across the Middle East and Africa.”
