Anuga FoodTec India 2025 presents fresh produce solutions
Anuga FoodTec India, South Asia’s comprehensive trade fair for food and beverage technology, was held from August 20 to 22, 2025, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. Organized by Koelnmesse India, the 19th edition featured over 700 exhibitors from 29 countries and drew more than 30,000 industry professionals, including technology providers, manufacturers, and buyers from the retail and HoReCa sectors.
With streamlined hall segmentation, grouping processing, safety, and automation in one area, and packaging and cold chain solutions in another, the event showcased innovations vital to the fruit and vegetable industry, such as direct fruit printing, shelf-life extension technologies, cold chain logistics, automated packing lines, and packaging solutions, supporting efficient distribution, protection, and handling, for F&V exports. We spoke with three exhibitors about their experiences at this year’s fair:

“Anuga FoodTec in Mumbai was as dynamic and energetic as the city itself. For us, it was the ideal platform to reconnect with existing customers, explore new project opportunities, and engage with potential clients and industry partners. The three-day event was packed with meaningful conversations and valuable insights. We are already looking forward to the next edition in 2026. The momentum we are seeing in India in our potato business is really impressive and shows how important the market is becoming for this sector,” says Johannes Pfeiffer, from ELEA Technology, about their debut at the exhibition.

Our CIJ technology, which uses FDA-approved, food-grade inks for direct printing on fruits, drew significant interest for replacing sticky labels and reducing waste while ensuring safety compliance. The fair provided a valuable platform to engage with industry decision-makers and establish our presence in the food technology sector.”

Our 500 MOQ pouches were a standout, surprising visitors with their versatility. We also observed strong interest from the dry fruit sector, with many exploring innovative packaging solutions for retail and exports.
