Tiwari said that with this move, and upon the decision’s implementation, the essential items like gas cylinders, flour, milk, paneer, namkeen, and other such items will become more affordable for the common man.

MPs Yogendra Chandolia, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Praveen Khandelwal, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Bansuri Swaraj, Harsh Malhotra, along with Tiwari met Sitharaman and thanked her.

Swaraj has welcomed the decision, and stated that complete tax exemption on 33 life-saving medicines is a historic step in the healthcare sector.

She said that upon implementation, it will provide significant relief to millions of families struggling with cancer and other serious chronic diseases.

Bidhuri remarked that when reality is lived by leaders, reforms don’t stay on paper — they are seen on the ground.

Taking to social media platform X, he stated that GST reforms are not just about changing tax codes, but are about giving wings to the aspirations of the middle class.
