Big Family Music unifies operations and forms strategic partnership with Stem | Labels

Big Family Music, a newly launched global music company integrating label, publishing and management operations, has officially launched.

The launch of the newly unified company – formerly operating as PMR Records and Big Family – has been announced alongside a strategic partnership with Stem, the distribution and artist services platform.

In a statement, the London-based company said it would continue “developing culturally impactful artists and songwriters while doubling down on its A&R-first approach”.

Big Family’s roster includes Master Peace, Amber Mark, SG Lewis, Hope Tala, John Ryan, Grant Boutin and co-founder Julian Bunetta.

As part of this new chapter, Big Family Music has partnered with Stem to extend their artist services capabilities and bring additional resources to their roster.

New York-based Stem provides a hands-on team that works closely with managers, artists and labels to support releases, rollout strategy, and long-term planning.

“This launch represents who we’ve always been at our core,” said Ben Parmar, co-founder of Big Family Music. “A small, highly curated team investing early in artists and helping them build for the long term. Stem gives us the ability to expand that vision with a team who operates with the same care and commitment we do.”

“By combining Big Family’s A&R-first philosophy with Stem’s personalised support model, the two companies are creating an infrastructure where artists can grow confidently, with the right people in the room every step of the way,” added the statement.

“We’re proud to partner with Big Family Music,” said Bobby Davin, VP of Artist & Label Relations at Stem. “They’ve built a reputation for taste, integrity and long-term thinking. Our role is to serve as an extension of their team and deliver the strategy, support and services that let artists stay focused on making great music.”
