Speaking at the inauguration, Singh said: “Liver diseases are a silent but growing health challenge in India, with one in every four citizens affected by fatty liver. Through initiatives like this camp, we aim to bring quality healthcare closer to people, raise awareness, and ensure early diagnosis so that citizens can live longer, healthier lives.”
According to an official statement, registrations for the camp will be open daily between 10 am and 12 noon. The first day witnessed an enthusiastic response, with over 100 residents availing themselves of the free health check-up services.
The camp offers comprehensive examinations including blood pressure, weight, height, waist–hip ratio, and a range of blood tests such as LFT, sugar, lipids, CBC, and Hepatitis B and C screening.
Participants also undergo fibroscan screening to detect liver fat and fibrosis, along with specialist consultations and diet and nutrition counselling to promote healthy lifestyle practices.
Dr Shiv Kumar Sarin, Director of ILBS and President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, also attended the inauguration. He commended the initiative and highlighted the critical role of early detection and lifestyle management in maintaining liver health.
