Meridian, Miss. – Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian will host its fifth annual Science Saturday on Sept. 20, in conjunction with the 10th annual Mississippi Science Festival presented by the C Spire Foundation. During Science Saturday, children and families are invited to engage with STEAM leaders and explore potential careers in Mississippi. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., various organizations will showcase their industry and work through unique exhibits, allowing guests to interact and learn from them.
MSF is presented by the C Spire Foundation, and in partnership with AmazonInCommunities, Eaton, Entergy, The Great City Mississippi Foundation, Ingalls Shipbuilding, Nissan, Ochsner Rush Health and Southern Farm Bureau of Mississippi.
In the days leading up to Science Saturday, MCM-Meridian will host two additional events designed for elementary students and their chaperones:

C Spire mentors guide teams comprised of four fourth-grade students through coding challenges. This year the challenge will include a chatbot built with AI by C Spire in collaboration with Amazon Web Services. In addition, students are treated to lunch compliments of C Spire Foundation and participate in an awards ceremony at the conclusion of the challenge.
Field Trip Friday
Friday, Sept. 19 — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
