World Bank allocates grant for a project in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan has received a grant from the World Bank for the “Livable Baku” project, APA-Economics reports citing the World Bank.
According to the information, part of the grant funds will be allocated for preparing a technical and economic justification for the unified management of solid household waste in the Absheron waste area.
Within the framework of the project, a consultant will review the existing preliminary technical and economic justification, collect new data, and present an improved justification. The work includes updating baseline indicators, preparing investment proposals, conducting financial and economic analyses, and preparing the conceptual design and tender documents.
The total duration of the task is 6 months after the contract is signed, and its implementation is planned to begin in November 2025. The estimated total cost of the project is 505 thousand US dollars.
