New Movies & Fan Events Announced
Hallmark spoilers and updates reveal the yearly Countdown to Christmas will start on Friday, October 17th. Over ten weeks, Hallmark plans to provide almost 80 hours of brand-new programming, featuring original movies debuting every Saturday and Sunday night.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bills’ Love Story
A major event sees Hallmark collaborating with the National Football League for Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.
Set in the close-knit community of Bills Mafia fans, and honoring the Bills’ last season at their famous venue, Highmark Stadium, the film features Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott.
Also, Running Back Ray Davis, Safety Damar Hamlin, Offensive Tackle Dion Dawkins, Tight End Dawson Knox, Long Snapper Reid Ferguson, Defensive Tackle DeWayne Carter, and Wide Receiver Joshua Palmer.
Buffalo Bills icon Jim Kelly, along with former teammates Steve Tasker, Thurman Thomas, Scott Norwood, and Andre Reed, as well as Bills play-by-play announcer Chris Brown, also make appearances.
Additionally, in tribute to the late, esteemed journalist and devoted Bills supporter Tim Russert, his son Luke Russert completes the cast.
Other Christmas Movies And Series This Year
Additional new offerings feature films such as Tidings for the Season, An Alpine Holiday, She’s Making a List, A Suite Holiday Romance, and The Christmas Baby.
This season will also showcase the reality cooking show, Baked with Love, along with the second season of Finding Mr. Christmas, Hallmark’s quest to discover their next leading man.
Plus, there will be some new music related programming coming up for fans. Fans of the cancelled series “Nashville” should enjoy what’s coming up for country music fans, featuring at least one of the same performers.
A Grand Ole Opry Christmas
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Grand Ole Opry, a legendary venue in country music, Hallmark is set to showcase A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.
The film features original music written and performed by Grammy-award winner and Opry Member Brad Paisley.
He is accompanied by fellow Opry members and renowned country artists including Bill Anderson, Dailey & Vincent, Drew Baldridge, Jamey Johnson, and Maggie Baugh.
Megan Moroney, Mickey Guyton, Pam Tillis, Rhett Akins, Riders in the Sky, Suzy Bogguss, Tiger Lily Gold, and T Graham Brown will also appear.
In addition, Brad Paisley will perform his original song ‘Counting Down the Days,’ created specifically for the 16th Annual Countdown to Christmas.
Merry Thanksgiving Weekend Programming
Ahead of the Christmas programming, special programming features Hallmark’s yearly Merry Thanksgiving Weekend, where an exciting new original movie debuts on Thanksgiving night.
Beginning Friday and running through Sunday, fans can delight in a double feature, with two new films premiering each evening.
Movies include The Snow Must Go On, (November 28) The More the Merrier, (November 28) and An Alpine Holiday (November 29).
A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, (November 29) The Christmas Cup, (November 30) and Christmas at the Catnip Café (November 30) rounds out the list.
In-Person Fan Events Begin October 15
Alongside Hallmark’s holiday films and series, the network is organizing live fan events, such as a ‘Holiday Takeover’ at Opry Plaza on Wednesday, October 15th.
This event features in-person appearances by Jonathan Bennett, Lacey Chabert, Nikki DeLoach, and others. On Thursday, October 16th, Hallmark will hold its Countdown to Christmas launch event in downtown Nashville.
Traditionally, the country music industry celebrates Country Music Month in October, so this event fits right in!
Fans are invited to join this special evening, which will include a preview of this year’s holiday shows, country Christmas line dancing, and performances by special musical guests.
Hallmark Christmas Experience
This season, returning to Hallmark’s headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, is The Hallmark Christmas Experience.
This event offers superfans an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes, where they can see their favorite Hallmark stars and artists in action.
Fans will see as they celebrate the holiday season with games, competitions, panel discussions, creative workshops, holiday movie screenings, photo opportunities, and much more.
The event takes place every weekend from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Attendees can visit the event website to select their own adventure and buy tickets now HERE!!
In 2025, the Hallmark Christmas Cruise will take place from November 6th to 10th, departing from Miami, Florida, to Cozumel, Mexico. Although the cruise is fully booked, fans can keep up with this year’s events through Hallmark Channel’s social media or by visiting hallmarkchristmascruise.com.
