UP Tourism showcases perfume heritage, ecotourism and Taj Mahal at IFTM Top Resa 2025 in Paris
Uttar Pradesh Tourism showcased spiritual circuits. including Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan and Prayagraj at the International & French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa 2025 in Paris, with focus areas being ecotourism and heritage.
The department concluded its participation at the event, where the state’s stall drew strong attention for its cultural, spiritual and experiential offerings.

The pavilion, inaugurated by Naveen Kumar, Counsellor (Economic & Commercial Wing) and Head of Chancery at the Embassy of India in Paris, attracted international dignitaries, travel trade leaders and tourism professionals.
Perfume Tourism from Kannauj emerged as the star attraction, with live demonstrations of the centuries-old ‘deg-bhapka’ technique of natural fragrance-making captivating visitors. Uttar Pradesh projected Kannauj as India’s perfume capital and a unique experiential tourism product for global travellers.
Ecotourism and heritage were other focus areas, with the Taj Mahal, Lucknow’s Nawabi legacy, and Bundelkhand forts showcased alongside spiritual circuits such as Ayodhya, Mathura-Vrindavan, Prayagraj, Varanasi and the Buddhist Circuit.
The pavilion also featured cultural performances including Kathak, Kajri and Dedhiya, which drew large audiences. Parallel B2B meetings with leading global tour operators and hoteliers opened avenues for collaborations in pilgrimage, heritage, ecotourism and luxury travel.
UP Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said here on Friday that Uttar Pradesh presented its splendour to Europe to deepen cultural bonds and welcome more European travellers. “Uttar Pradesh is a confluence of culture, spirituality and heritage. At IFTM Top Resa 2025, we showcased this splendour to strengthen tourism ties with Europe,” he said.
”Key takeaways from the participation included the prominence of Perfume Tourism, renewed international interest in heritage icons like the Taj Mahal and the Buddhist Circuit, and a positive response from travel trade stakeholders. The engagements at Paris are expected to translate into long-term collaborations,” officials said.
The state also highlighted its year-round festivals such as Dev Deepawali, Taj Mahotsav and the upcoming Ayodhya Deepotsav, while underlining seamless connectivity through international airports at Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi and Kushinagar.
