Tommy Cox, PRO of North Wexford Musical Theatre Group said they are absolutely delighted with the success of this year’s production. “The response we’ve been getting from our audience has been nothing short of spectacular.
“With two sold out nights with standing ovations at the end of each of them – it has truly meant the world to our cast and crew,” Tommy said.
He further said the show was a huge undertaking from the get-go for the group, from Stephen Sondheim’s music to the scale of the musical’s production. “We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved, both on stage and behind the scenes.”
Roisin Currid directed and choreographed the production of Into the Woods, and said she was blown away by the audience’s reaction each night. “The people of Gorey are so supportive.”
She further praised the cast and crew for their hard work, including musical director Conor McCarthy who led a 10 piece orchestra over the weekend. “We have the most dedicated creative team, from hair/make and costumes, to lights, sound, stage crew and front of house. Conor’s talent and love for his work is like no other,” she said.

“It’s been a magical year, and we’re excited for what comes next for North Wexford Musical Theatre,” Tommy added.
