Quincy University invites high school students to Music Visit Day on October 14

Quincy, Ill. (KHQA) — Quincy University is inviting high school students and their families to experience Music Visit Day on October 14.

The Quincy University Music Program will host a Music Visit Day on Monday, October 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Connie Niemann Center for Music, located at 17th & Seminary Road.

This event is open to high school students and their families. Students will have an opportunity to tour campus, meet QU faculty and students, and sit in on a rehearsal with the QU Band, Choir, and/or Jazz Band. Students will also have an opportunity to audition for a music scholarship.

“This event is a great way for students to experience music at the college level, talk with current QU students, and see the many scholarship opportunities available,” said Christine Damm, DMA, dean of fine arts and communication.
