Dubai’s Largest Rangoli of Spices Unveiled at Waterfront Market in Celebration of Diwali

The Waterfront Market, Dubai’s largest food market and home to over 800 varieties of produce, is celebrating Diwali with colour, flavour and family-friendly experiences. In celebration of light, culture and community, the Market has created the largest Rangoli of Spices in Dubai, using more than 60kgs of cinnamon, turmeric, chilli, coriander, cloves and other spices sourced from the Market. Measuring six metres by six metres, the Rangoli will be on display from October 8 to 26.

The Rangoli was unveiled in a special ceremony that welcomed Mr. Sunil Kumar, Consul (Passport) from the Consulate General of India, along with representatives from Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). Held as part of DFRE’s city-wide Festival of Lights, Diwali celebrations, the event marked the spirit of togetherness, culture and community, highlighting the Market’s role as a vibrant destination where tradition and flavour come to life.

Reimagining a cherished tradition, the Rangoli is brought to life with turmeric, chilli, coriander, cloves and other aromatic spices, filling the Market’s atrium with colour and fragrance.
