Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi’s Chanel Video Is Hypnotising
There’s unlikely a soul on this planet that isn’t completely smitten by both Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The Australian exports have completely charmed both Hollywood and fashion’s elite, including Chanel. Both Margot and Jacob have been tapped by the brand for their latest No. 5 campaign, and it’s a stunning as you’d expect.
The two-minute long clip is cinematic, like watching a condensed love story between the stunning duo that perfectly captures the essence of desire.
In the short we see Margot tell Jacob to meet her at 5, before both set off in search of one another. He sets off on his motorcycle down the Big Sur, California, and she jumps in her convertible to meet him, only they’re heading in opposite directions, almost uniting but not quite crossing paths.

This notion of desire and chasing allusivity is one Margot directing ties to her feelings about the iconic fragrance.
“It’s such a unique, elegant, powerful and innately feminine scent,” she tells marie claire Australia. “But it’s kind of hard to define the smell. It is incredibly rich, it is abstract, it’s not just one thing. And I suppose that gives the feeling of mystery and something a little elusive that is hard to pin down.
“I love that it encapsulates this idea of femininity, not in a way to box it in but in a way that shows how nuanced it is.”

The actress reveals she wanted to embody the liberating power of desire to the campaign’s story as a reflection of the traits she associates with No.5.
“I love the idea of a woman who ‘wants’. I think, as a concept that has, for some reason, been so shut down. But to celebrate that idea of having desires is liberating,” she tells us.
“I think perfume accesses that idea of, ‘I do want something and I can find that thing in myself.’”
