Texas Arts and Music Festival in Downtown Brenham this week

Historic Downtown Brenham will soon be filled with art, music and more this weekend as people gather together to celebrate and support Brazos Valley artists and music education.

Starting Friday and running through Sunday, the Texas Arts and Music Festival is a free event with two new public art mural installations, live music, an art village, pop-up art galleries and four musical guests performing on Saturday. Floyd Mendoza and Toni Ardizzone were both chosen to be this year’s featured muralists. The Texas Arts and Music Festival also will be hosting its first juried art show at The Laundry Event Hall at 209 S. Market St.

“This year we’re featuring a variety of Texas musicians encompassing the full range of genres,” board president Mark Rosenbaum said in a statement. “This is an event that everyone will enjoy as we showcase Downtown Brenham with Texas music and art.”
