Men’s ice hockey (1-1-0) continues their road slate, taking on the Air Force Falcons (1-3-0).

The Lions split their series against #9 Wisconsin. The Lions won game one 4-2 and in game two, fell to the Badgers 3-2 in overtime. 


Highlights:

•Coach Bill Muckalt won is his first career game as Lindenwood’s head coach.

•Jaeden Mercier scored two goals in the Lions first ever win against Wisconsin, and a nationally ranked opponent.

PREVIEW

After a successful weekend to start out the season, Lindenwood is looking to continue their success with a sweep over Air Force. 


This will be fifth and sixth time the Lions will take on the Falcons. Historically, Lindenwood is 2-2 against the Falcons, with the Lions defeating the Falcons 4-3 in overtime in their last meeting (October 8, 2023). 


Air Force was picked to finish seventh in the Atlantic Hockey America conference. The Falcons currently sit 1-3 on the year, falling to #14 University of Massachusetts 5-1 in their last game played. Clayton Cosentino leads the Falcons in scoring with five points (3g and 2a). Guy Blessing has played majority of the minutes in net for the Falcons, registering 94 saves and a .832 save percentage.
