India’s “Bengaluru Debacle”

The Indian cricket team was rocked by the New Zealand pacers which led to the disaster at Bangalore. It was an extraordinary turn of events for Team India within a week. The men in blue dished out a thumping 2-0 series to the Bangladeshi team. Now, the team is bowled out for 46 on Day 2 of the first Test of a three-match series. India in the process also registered the lowest score at home against any opposition. It was also the lowest team total in the subcontinent overtaking the previous score of 53 set by West Indies against Pakistan at Faisalabad in 1986.

Batting wise it was a total disaster out there in the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. There were as many as five ducks in the Indian innings. Virat Kohli, who was surprisingly asked to bat at No. 3, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul and R Ashwin were the batters who did not trouble the scorers at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday.
