BSNL launches new logo and 7 game-changing services for a ‘connected’ India

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) unveiled its new logo on Tuesday, which represents trust, strength, and its widespread presence across India. This announcement comes just before the launch of BSNL’s nationwide 4G network, along with seven new services aimed at enhancing connectivity for all.

The new logo was presented at a ceremony attended by key officials, including Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Communications Chandra S. Pemmasani, and Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications Neeraj Mittal.

Scindia stressed that this change is a significant step for BSNL, reinforcing its promise to provide reliable, affordable, and accessible services to everyone. He noted, “This marks the dawn of a transformative era for the service provider.”

New services introduced by BSNL

1. Spam-free network: This service aims to keep users safe from unwanted calls and messages, ensuring a cleaner communication experience.

2. BSNL WiFi national roaming: Customers can enjoy WiFi access across the country without worrying about additional charges, making it easier to stay connected while travelling.

3. BSNL IFTV: This service offers access to 500 premium channels for customers with Fiber to the Home (FTTH) connections, providing a wide range of entertainment options.

4. Any time SIM (ATS) kiosks: These self-service kiosks will allow users to purchase SIM cards conveniently, anytime and anywhere.

5. Direct-to-device service: This innovative service enables satellite connectivity, allowing users to send SMS messages from remote locations, whether on land, in the air, or at sea.

6. Public protection and disaster relief: BSNL aims to enhance communication during emergencies, ensuring that help and information can reach those in need quickly.

7. Private 5G in mines: This service will provide specialized 5G connectivity in mining areas, improving communication and safety for workers in remote locations.

These new offerings are designed to improve how people in India connect, providing secure and seamless communication solutions for both urban and rural communities.

BSNL has been actively expanding its 4G network across the country. Following recent price hikes by competitors like Airtel, Jio, and Vi, more users are choosing BSNL due to its affordable plans. The company plans to complete its 4G rollout by 2025 and is also working on launching a 5G network within six to eight months after finishing the 4G expansion.
