Baristas seeking a novel way to promote their cafe, or latte skills could find inspiration at Heathrow airport’s Terminal 2.

One of the world’s busiest airports is now home to Louis Vuitton’s first culinary foray on UK soil under the auspices of famed French chef, Cyril Lignac. The humble frothy flat white provides an ideal platform to promote the Latte Art skills of the barista while advertising the venue front and centre.

The newly opened Louis Vuitton Cafe menu features elegant dishes designed for any time of the day, from breakfast dishes such as Royal Eggs £22 [$44.00] and Sliced Avocado on Toast £18 [ $36.00] to Lobster Rolls £30 [$60.00] and a selection of French pastries including Pain au chocolat, Croissant, & Brioche.

Globally renown for its luxury luggage and travel trunks, Louis Vuitton has expanded its brand image into the cultural world of art and hospitality.

In 2020 it opened its first foray into hospitality with an invite-only cafe and restaurant in Osaka. Since then hospitality openings have followed in St Tropez, Paris and Doha. Pharrell Williams was appointed creative director last year and is credited with refreshing the brand’s image.

The Heathrow cafe/restaurant was designed by Marc Fornes, founder of New York architecture studio, THEVERYMANY, with travel in mind.

Aerodynamic design, sleek curved interiors, featuring art and aviation-themed additions from the Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades collection, provide a pre-flight feast for the senses.
