New music venue Amber’s to open in Manchester this December

The multi-room venue will host both live events and club nights.

New to Manchester’s club scene this December, Amber’s is promising a diverse electronic programme embracing the city’s creative community and music culture.

Situated on Oxford Road, the 1000-capacity venue will host both electronic club nights and live shows across two rooms, equipped with a fully-functioning live set-up with a custom lighting spec and state of the art L-Acoustics sound system.

A three-day launch weekend will take place from 5-7 December, with a special launch party on Thursday 5 and the first external event on Friday 6. Season One programming will then run from Dec 2024 – March 2025, with live programming commencing next year from February onwards.

For both the launch party and on every Saturday throughout the season, Amber’s ticket entry will be £5 and its line-ups unannounced. From under the radar sets from industry-leading names to breakout performances from rising selectors, the programme will cover a range of genres and spotlight DJs shaping their scenes not just in Manchester, but across the world.

With an in-house welfare team and inclusive ethos, Amber’s aims to provide a safe and approachable space in the city, with a no-photos policy also in place to keep crowds in the present and protect the experiences of performers.

“We’ve spent decades in clubs together, being part of dancefloors that have changed our lives,” said Jeremy Abbott, one of a collection of industry veterans behind the venture. “Amber’s is an amalgamation of those formative experiences, the ones that you tell people about for years to come. We want to channel that into a new space for Manchester, a city that’s already blessed with amazing venues, nights and clubs.”
