Representational imageSonam Kapoor has been announced as Dior’s new brand ambassador, highlighting the brand’s recognition of India as a high-growth market. The collaboration, which blends the French couture giant with a Bollywood star, underscores the powerful cultural connections between Dior and India.

“A multitalented personality, the actress, producer, and fashion icon henceforth embodies the audacity, grace, and elegance of Dior style, a femininity constantly reinvented. More than ever, this unique alliance celebrates the powerful cultural ties that have united Dior and India since the very beginning of the house,” Dior stated in a release published by Women’s Wear Daily.

Known for being one of the most fashionable celebrities in India, Sonam is often referred to as the “High Priestess of Fashion” in her home country. She was present at Paris Fashion Week in September, attending the Dior Spring/Summer 2025 show. At the event, she wore a striking black outfit from Dior’s Cruise 2025 collection, sporting a modern gothic princess look. The ensemble included a trench coat with floral cross-stitch embroidery, a voluminous balloon-hem skirt, a corset shirt with Mandarin collars, and leather riding boots with multiple straps. Her septum ring added an edgy touch to her appearance.Sonam’s presence at the Dior ready-to-wear show in September generated a media impact value of $2.7 million, as reported by Launchmetrics. Dior once again led Paris Fashion Week with a total media impact value of $82.7 million, according to WWD.

Joining Dior’s list of ambassadors, Sonam is now in the company of other notable figures such as BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, NewJeans’ Haerin, and BTS’s Jimin.
