First Deputy Chairman of Cabinet Kasymaliev, World Bank Executive Director discuss financing of construction of Kambar-Ata-1 HPP

AKIPRESS.COM – First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Beatrice Maser, Executive Director of the World Bank from the Swiss group of countries in Washington D.C., Cabinet’s press service reported.

Adylbek Kasymaliev traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the annual meeting of the Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.

The parties discussed financing of construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant and budget planning issues.

The Cabinet of Ministers reported that Beatrice Maser confirmed the World Bank’s readiness to provide comprehensive support to the projects aimed at the economic development of Kyrgyzstan, including construction of the Kambar-Ata-1 HPP.

At the end of the meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliev invited Beatrice Maser to visit Kyrgyzstan.

Beatrice Maser holds the position of Executive Director from the Swiss group on the Board of Directors of the World Bank Group, which includes Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland.
