Students from Palutena participate in the National Science Fair in Brasilia

A science start-up project developed by students from Colégio Estadual Agrícola Adroaldo Colombo in the Palutena sector of the UFPR was one of the highlights of the 5th National Science Fair held from September 24 to 26 in Brasilia.

The project entitled “Zebrafish: A Leap in Brazilian Science” describes the effects of studies conducted on zebrafish, an important species that has been used in toxicology studies, and which has contributed to public policies for the control and regulation of various substances.

22 works from different states were selected for the traveling exhibition with presentations and visits to the headquarters of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Higher Education. National conference as part of the 21st National Science and Technology Week (SNCT).

The students were selected to represent Parana during an exhibition held at the 13th Palutena Science and Technology Fair. They received a Junior Science Start-up Grant to develop the work.
