Aged care and community care software provider AlayaCare has entered an agreement to acquire home care and NDIS software provider Nightingale.

Nightingale will continue to operate as its own platform and will maintain its client relationships and team but will now be supported by AlayaCare’s technology and resources.

The combined organisation will allow for expanded offerings across NDIS and aged care and aligns with AlayaCare’s long-term vision for the Australian and New Zealand care market.

Annette Hili (AlayaCare)

AlayaCare general manager for ANZ Annette Hili saud that they are “thrilled” to welcome the Nightingale team, which has a proud history, particularly in the NDIS.

“Clients will continue to receive the personal support they trust, while Nightingale staff gain access to our technology, expertise, and resources. Together, we can improve care outcomes, increase efficiency, and support providers of care across Australia,” said Ms Hili.

AlayaCare chief executive officer Adrian Schauer said the acquisition is an “exciting step” for the ANZ care sector.

“What drew us to Nightingale was that their platform and values aligned with our own. Together, we believe we can build an offering for the ANZ market that delivers a step change in how care is provided and achieve better outcomes for recipients. By pairing AlayaCare’s innovation and AI technology with Nightingale’s platform and expertise in the disability space we can deliver solutions that make care work easier and more fulfilling while making providers more efficient and successful,” he said.

Nightingale CEO Sandy Forrest agreed that it is an “exciting chapter” for Nightingale and its clients.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with AlayaCare to explore new ways to improve care, use technology more effectively, and deliver even better outcomes. Our focus remains on supporting our clients and the people they care for,” he said.

The acquisition remains subject to closing conditions and regulatory approval.
