Diljit Dosanjh concert: Delhi Traffic Police issues advisory, avoid these routes over weekend

The Delhi Traffic Police has announced special traffic measures for two significant events this weekend. Diljit Dosanjh concerts are anticipated to attract more than 60,000 attendees. In response to these large gatherings, the Delhi Traffic Police has implemented comprehensive traffic management plans to ensure smooth movement across the city.  

The Radha Soami Satsang spiritual gathering, scheduled from October 25-27, is expected to draw 300,000-400,000 devotees, including VIP guests and dignitaries. 

Key traffic guidelines for the weekend 

1. Entry to Satsang Complex: Devotees may enter the complex from Bhati Mines Road. 

2. Parking: Adequate parking arrangements are available inside the complex. No parking will be allowed on SSN Marg. 

3. Restrictions on Roads: Heavy vehicles won’t be allowed on Bhati Mines Road between Chattar Pur Road (SSN Marg) and Gurgaon Road T-Point from 4:00 am to 6:30 pm. 

4. Diversion: Heavy vehicles will be diverted via Mandi Road-Jona Pur cut to Mehrauli Gurugram Road and near Mallu Farm on Badh Road cut on Bhati Mines Road to Joan Pur Mehrauli Gurugram Road. 

5. Emergency Vehicles: Emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire brigade, will have free access to the roads. 

Police’s advice to the public

1. Plan travel accordingly to avoid congestion. 

2. Use public transport to minimise traffic. 

3. Follow traffic directions from police personnel. 

4. Stay patient and observe traffic rules.

Diljit Dosanjh’s domestic tour 

After completing a successful run of shows across the United States and Europe, Diljit Dosanjh is set to begin his India tour. The performances will start with two shows at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium this weekend. The tour will then continue across major cities including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore, Indore, Chandigarh, and Guwahati. 

Dosanjh has signed on for Border 2, where he will share the screen with Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. The film, which begins production in November, will depict the historic Battle of Longewala.
