Gumla’s SVEEP ‘Robo Jatra’: A Fusion of Science Education and Voter Engagement | Ranchi News

Gumla: The district administration organized the state’s first SVEEP ‘Robo Jatra’ on Saturday under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme. The event aims to encourage students to pursue science and engineering while also seeking to maximize voter turnout in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha polls.
A total of 45 school teams, both govt and private, comprising about 350 participants from across the state, participated with their robot models in four events. Over 1,000 future voters (students) visited the programme. Each event featured poll-related messages and images of selected polling stations in its demarcated area.
Election observers attended the event along with Gumla DC Karn Satyarthi, SP Shambhu Kumar Singh, and DFO Ahmed Belal Anwar. Social media influencers and campus ambassadors from outside the district also participated in the robotics meet.
