ZayedCHF, GWU concludes humanitarian aid campaign

Abu Dhabi: Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), the Mother of the Nation, the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ZCHF), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), have wrapped up their participation in the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” campaign, dedicating humanitarian aid campaign to support Lebanese communities amid ongoing crises.

The initiative under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, female volunteers assembled at the GWU headquarters in Abu Dhabi to equip essential relief supplies, reflecting the UAE’s enduring commitment to humanitarian aid and international solidarity.

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of ZayedCHF, expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Fatima for her unwavering support, highlighting that the initiative aims to facilitate the hardships facing Lebanese women during these challenging times. He highlighted that the UAE’s efforts represent its foundational values of compassion and support for affected communities worldwide.

Sheikh Nahyan bin stated that, “These are the same values and foundational regulations that the ZayedCHF adopts in its humanitarian initiatives to attain stability and security in communities facing wars and conflicts.”

The relief supplies, designed by teams from ZCHF, GWU, and Abu Dhabi government volunteers, are expected to acquire the affected Lebanese women swiftly. Dr. Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi, Director General of ZayedCHF, emphasized that the aid would sustain tens of thousands, expressing thanks to all volunteers involved. Noura Al-Suwaidi, Secretary General of the GWU, reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to helping vulnerable groups affected by conflict, particularly women and children.
