Indore Ratlam PRO Khemraj Meena told ANI, “A fire broke out in the engine of the DEMU train (no. 09347) travelling from Dr Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow) to Ratlam today. The incident occurred between Runija and Naugaon, near Ratlam, at approximately 5:20 pm. Thanks to prompt assistance from locals and authorities, the blaze was swiftly brought under control. The train’s engine was detached and replaced at Pritampura, allowing the train to continue its journey to Ratlam with a new engine. Fortunately, all passengers on board are safe, and there are no reports of any injuries or loss of life.”
