8th Armenia International Music Festival starts on Monday – Panorama

The 8th edition of the Armenia International Music Festival kicks off at Yerevan’s Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall on Monday 16 September.

The opening concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Yerevan time.

The program features Grigor Yeghiazaryan’s Armenia Symphonic Poem, Alexey Shor’s piano concerto Travel Notebook and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Op. 18.

Pianist Yekwon Sunwoo will share a stage with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of its conductor Sergey Smbatyan.

The festival is held with the support of the Tourism Committee of the Armenian Ministry of Economy.
