Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan Amara Raja Energy and Mobility (ARE&M), the makers of Amaron, Powerzone, and Quanta batteries, on Monday announced the appointment of Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan as its Chief Business Officer – Automotive for India and the SAARC region.
In his new role, Radhakrishnan will oversee marketing strategy, strengthen brand positioning, and drive business growth through integrated initiatives across markets, the company said in a statement.
“We are confident he will strengthen Amaron’s market leadership and accelerate growth across our battery and lubricants portfolio, while championing the next era of innovation for our customers and partners,” said Harshavardhana Gourineni, Executive Director – Automotive and Industrial, ARE&M.
It added that Radhakrishnan brings leadership experience across sales, marketing, and P&L management from the FMCG, telecom, and electric mobility sectors. Before this, he worked at Hero MotoCorp as Head of Business Growth – Emerging Mobility, and has previously held senior roles at Coca-Cola India, Nestlé, and Bharti Airtel.
The BSE- and NSE-listed company has been expanding its presence in the energy and mobility solutions space, with a growing focus on innovation and sustainability. The appointment aligns with the company’s strategic efforts to strengthen its leadership team as it navigates evolving opportunities in the automotive and clean energy segments.
