MVA seeks new tourism partnerships at ITB Asia | Local News

(MVA) — Alongside other tourism offices from around the world, the Marianas Visitors Authority joined the leading travel trade show in Asia, ITB Asia, on Oct. 23-25, 2024, in Singapore.

ITB Asia is an annual B2B trade show and convention for the travel industry designed to be the primary event for the Asia-Pacific travel industry, much like its parent event — ITB Berlin.

With the theme “Making Connections and Grow Businesses, Together,” this year’s show attracted more than 18,500 attendees from 85 countries, including 1,950 exhibitors and 400 high-quality buyers representing destinations, airlines and airports, hotels and resorts, theme parks and attractions, inbound tour operators, cruise lines, spas, venues, other meeting facilities, travel technology companies, and more from across the world. MVA had 57 pre-set and walk-in meetings with companies from Southeast Asia and other regions, including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, Spain, Vietnam, Romania, Thailand, and Israel.

“Every year ITB Asia attracts travel trade companies from around the region and the world to Singapore, creating an opportunity for MVA to pitch our destination to many new potential tourism partners, as well as reinforce our existing partnerships. Now that we’ve introduced our product to them, we hope they will take steps to further explore investing in our destination,” said MVA Deputy Managing Director Judy C. Torres. “It was also an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technology in promoting and selling travel destinations.”

At The Marianas promotional booth, MVA also shared general information about The Marianas and its tourist attractions with show attendees.

Over 160 leading industry figures shared industry content delivered through 100 sessions, focusing on the future of MICE, corporate travel, leisure travel, and travel technology. ITB Asia is co-located with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia covering the key aspects of the travel industry such as Leisure, MICE, Corporate, and Travel Technology.
